Alison Solomon

Alison Solomon is a freelance Casting Director with many years professional casting experience working with directors, producers, writers, and companies to find acting talent locally, nationally and internationally. Her casting pedigree includes casting theatre, musical theatre, art film, voiceover and independent film, with notable success.

She is often approached to give talks or run mock auditions as a specialist lecturer for acting undergraduates (drama) and acting postgraduates (drama and film) with drama schools, but most regularly with BCU. She has also given specialist talks for members of Spotlight, Equity (Midlands and London) and Mandy.com.

More recently, Alison has been approached to work as a director and dramaturg with a number of theatre makers which she has also found enjoyable as she too is a multi-commissioned writer, poet and theatre maker.
